Meredith Shirey has 25 years of professional experience with a primary focus on immunization, supply chain, and strategy. She brings extensive experience with leadership, management and administration in international, multi-national organizations, building and maintaining cross-organizational relationships and strategic partnerships with public and private sector partners.

Prior to joining MMGH, Meredith worked with UNICEF in programmatic and supply roles at both the operational and leadership levels, including as the Chief of the Vaccine Center in UNICEF Supply Division. Subsequently, she joined the European Spallation Source ERIC, a green-field, scientific research facility in southern Sweden – first as Head of the Procurement and Logistics, and subsequently as Deputy Director for Project Support and Administration. As an independent consultant she has supported clients on strategy development and operationalization, vaccine access and analysis, and supply chain advice. This includes working with Gavi to support the development and implementation the Middle Income Countries (MICs) Approach and with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) to develop a long-term polio vaccine security framework.
